Getting Started

It really helps to have implements to train with. Either make them, buy them, or find someone who has them. I’ve seen a ton of guys jump into Strongman and show up at a competition having never loaded a stone or flipped a tire. It’s not a pretty sight.

If possible, train with someone who has some Strongman competition experience. They may not know everything, but every little bit of knowledge will help.

Stay humble. On any given day, any number of guys can win. Be sure you’re friends with most of them…if you have to get beat, you might as well like the guy who beat you.

Goals

I would like to compete at least as long as Roger Ortmeyer. That gives me another 14 years if he stops now…and he ain’t about to stop now :)
