Getting Started
Back in May of 2001, I was 5 months pregnant with my 4th child when my husband Mark had learned of a women’s Pro division to be added to the annual North East Strongman Showdown. This comp would be held in February so Mark said to me (exact words) “Hurry up and pump that baby out so you can start training for this show!” So I did and have loved the sport ever since. Mark has been a huge part of my success, he has shown me how to push hard and believe in myself. I have been fortunate to live relatively close to Art McDermott’s Facility to train events. He has a large variety of implements to train just about any event strongman can throw at you and if he doesn’t, he’ll either have it made or has great idea’s on how to improvise!
Goals
Getting better and stronger at strongman events, stay healthy, live long, and enjoy life!
